Return to the Military Draft a Real Possibility

VIRGINIA - / News Times Journal / -- Returning  to the military draft may be a real necessity just to keep our foreign assets secured, if something does not change with America's Foreign Policy crisis.  "There are far too many hot-spots in the world and concerns are mounting that we may not have enough boots on the ground to satisfy security needs,"  claimed a military recruiter who requested we keep his name anonymous to protect his career.

That seems to be the common theme among  many military experts that have seen chaos erupt worldwide in response to the Obama Administration support for radical revolutionaries in foreign nations as well as "Occupiers" in our own country.  "I speak with young people every day who are considering military service as an option in life.  As each person leaves, I can't help but think that we will be seeing them again whether they like it or not, because their choice will be made for them at the rate this world is deteriorating," said our disappointed source, shaking his head.

In times of peace, the military draft was shelved in favor of an all volunteer military force.  That suited the brass well and they were quite content with a higher caliber of young individuals from which to choose.  Talk now is that the status quo is changing as Islamic extremists continue their mission to overthrow stable dictatorships in the Middle East, American consulates  are under attack in Libya, Yemen and Egypt, and automatic weapons provided by "Operation Fast and Furious"  are being used to murder American Border Patrol Officers and others on our southern border.

Only time will tell if this continuing dismal economy will keep sending volunteers looking for some sign of hope to recruiters, whether mandatory military cuts will slash into the perks offered to get recruits to enlist, and if one of the dozens of destabilized governments deteriorates into the next major conflict.  As one recent visitor to the recruitment office, Billy Tobin, put it, "I promised my Dad that I would see what the military had to offer… maybe they could pay for the college that we can't afford.  Then, I saw on my phone news feed that Iran is getting the nuclear bomb and threatening Israel, while the President runs around playing golf, going on talk shows and raising campaign money at champagne dinners.  If I have a choice, I would rather die here than in some hell hole."

Maybe that was the plan all along.  While speaking on the 2008 campaign trail, then candidate Obama stated, "We can no longer rely only upon our military to meet the national security objectives of this country!  We need to have a civilian national security force that is just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded." See . No one has ever answered those who have asked many times just what does that mean?  Will young people be drafted into a national police force?  How about local bureaucrat jobs, sanitation services or package delivery to save the government the extra expense of outsourcing in an Obama economy?  Recently quoted Thomas Ricks of the Center for a New American Security who commented that returning to the draft would save “the government money.” While that may be true, would returning to the draft help a young person in their quest to find the "American Dream?"  Sounds more like a NIGHTMARE.

Welfare Board Game Graphically Portrays 'Obozo's America'

ANNAPOLIS, Md.,  /Christian Newswire/ -- Inventor Robert Bowie Johnson, Jr. today announced that his board game, "Obozo's America: Why Bother Working for a Living?" highlights and graphically portrays what has emerged as the key issue in the presidential election: Obama's ever expanding welfare state versus Romney's "an America that works."

Game players begin on the first of the month at the welfare office with an initial grant of $1,000 then maneuver along "Obozo's Welfare Promenade," getting cash for producing out-of-wedlock children, by drawing from 50 "Welfare Benefit" cards, by playing the lottery and the horses, and by engaging in four "Saturday Night" crimes (Prostitution, Armed Robbery, Gambling, and Drugs). Players can also get a job for their live-in on the "Government Cakewalk," and if they are caught in crime, experience the "Jail Jaunt" -- one roll of the dice and they're back at the welfare office collecting all benefits.

Players try to avoid landing on one of the dreaded "Get a Job" blocks that forces them off Obozo's Welfare Promenade into the "Working Person's Rut" where, with few exceptions, they accumulate bills, new taxes, and mounting debt. Hey, somebody has to pay for all the welfare, crime, and government!

While in the Working Person's Rut, players can go in business for themselves, but even there, all the blocks but one involve taxes, penalties, discrimination cases, and sexual harassment suits. "This area of small business is the one Romney wants to set free from government interference to get the economy moving while Obama seeks to expand his Welfare Promenade and the Government Cakewalk," Mr. Johnson said.

"Obozo's America" is a slightly modified version of the original game "Public Assistance: Why Bother Working for a Living?" forced off the market in the 1980s by government-directed action. The story of the banning of the original game, including the actual written plan to ban it, can be seen here:

Sample "Welfare Benefit" and "Working Persons Burden" cards, money, and a PDF of the full board of "Obozo's America" can be seen at:

Mr. Johnson is also the writer of the new book "Outing the Moronocracy: Ending the Rule of the Blind, the Stupid, and the Disgraceful in American Society"

Created Equal: 'Your Cell Phone Camera Can Change the World'

/Christian Newswire/ -- CNN and your cell phone camera are now on an even playing field.  Think about it.  Most news is not covered by film crews from a local or national TV station anymore.  News is more often captured by someone who was at the right place at the right time.  Capitalizing on this new phenomenon, Created Equal, a national pro-life organization, is helping America's youth to become their own producers.  We are training students to use this newfound outreach tool to change hearts and minds about abortion.
Examples of the power of social media to change public opinion abound.  This is evident in today's social action movements.
  • In 2009-2010, Iranian election protests demonstrated how social networking sites are more quickly and more easily mobilizing large numbers of people.  Neda Agha-Soltan was shot in the chest while watching an anti-government demonstration.  She was killed by a pro-government militiaman.  The film of the shooting went viral when it was captured by a cell phone camera and sent out on Twitter.  Neda Agha-Soltan became the poster girl of the uprising, causing the Iranian government to shut down Twitter in Iran.
Created Equal is riding the wave created by this generation's ability to use new media to influence the culture.  We are undertaking a media training program aimed at developing 21st century media creators who will impact their world.

'Suing The Devil' is #2 Indie Film at Box Office - Faith-Based Movie Seeks to Expose the Devil's Greatest Lie

LOS ANGELES, /Christian Newswire/ -- Suing the Devil, the highly-acclaimed film that opened in select theaters nationwide on August 26, 2011 had the second highest-grossing average of any independent film in the nation.

The film, which won 5-Dove Seal from the Dove Foundation, hit theaters in in cities across the nation, including Dallas, Houston, Evansville, IN; Springfield, IL; Columbus, OH; Jacksonville, FL; Melbourne, FL; Greensboro, NC; Burlington, NC; and Kansas City, MO.

Suing the Devil stars Malcolm McDowell, Rebecca St. James, Corbin Bernsen, Shannen Fields ('Facing the Giants'), Tom Sizemore, Ros Gentle, and Bart Bronson. Hillsong also participated in the movie shot in Sydney, Australia.

Written and directed by Harvard alumnus Tim Chey ('The Genius Club' 'Gone'), the film has been having an emotional impact that is being compared to 'The Passion of the Christ.'

"So many people are us telling how the film opened their eyes to the devil's tactics," says Chey. "We had one story where a couple had a troubled marriage for 17 years. The morning after they saw the film, they restored their marriage and opened their house up for worship. Another was an atheist, who came to the front of the theater, and got on his knees after another screening. And yet another was a gang-member who accepted Christ because of the movie. Incredible."

At a time when 65% of American Christians don't believe the devil exists, Suing the Devil aims its guns at Satan's strategy. "2 Corinthians 2:11 says to not be ignorant of the devil's scheme," Chey points out. "Yet so many Christians today are clued to their TV sets - completely clueless that 5 media companies control 85% of all content. Completely clueless."

'Suing the Devil' also made the list of WIRED Magazine's 'Top Summer Movies That Will Rock Your World.'

Resonating strongly with audiences of all ages across the country, potent word of mouth is already branding Suing the Devil as the 'summer film to watch.'

In the film, Luke O'Brien (Bart Bronsen), a washed-up janitor turned night law student, decides to sue Satan (Malcolm McDowell) for $8 trillion dollars. On the last day before Luke files a default judgment, Satan appears to defend himself. On Satan's legal team are 10 of the country's best trial lawyers (Dennis Cole, Jeff Gannon, Annie Lee). The entire world watches Legal TV (Corbin Bernsen, Tom Sizemore, Rebecca St. James) to see who will win the Trial of the Century.
